Membership is available if you are over 50 years of age and are working less than 20 hours per week.
There are no prerequisites, only a desire to learn. There are no exams or diplomas, just the personal joy of learning, the
opportunity to explore new areas of knowledge at the same time as making new friends.
At U3A Charles Sturt, membership is available for individuals and couples (at a discounted rate).
Membership fees vary according
to the operational fees of the particular U3As, but are moderate.
At U3A Charles Sturt, discounts are available for people who are already members of another U3A.
Some classes may attract a small additional fee; this will be advised in the program.
All group leaders are volunteers who share their knowledge of a lifetime with others, whether it is from an academic background or from a lifetime interest.
The Committee meet
regularly to guide the direction of the U3A, and coordinate the program. They are also responsible for investigating new program options and for promotion of the courses.
U3A Charles Sturt could not run without the support of the committee.
We are always looking for new members to assist, please speak to the committee members to discuss what's involved. Committee Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month after class.
