Through the Lens: 2017 Seniors Card photographic competition and exhibition is being delivered by the Office for the Ageing as part of this year’s International Day of Older Persons. The photo competition is open to all SA Seniors Card members and celebrates the skills of our older South Australians, through the art of photography, and demonstrates that people can learn and create at any age.
Entries close less than a month away on 25 August.
There are 5 categories, one of which would be ideal to showcase U3A activities: landscape, seniors in action, nature, artistic photography and portrait. They give an excellent tip on what they will be looking for in winning entries: “think lifestyle, volunteers, lifelong learning, sport, family, arts & culture, leisure, multicultural and vibrant South Australia”.
Winners and finalists will win great prizes through the competition and their framed photos will be on display for public viewing at an exhibition at the City Library in Rundle Mall. And the overall winning photo will appear on the cover of the 2018 Seniors Card Discount Directory, Your Lifestyle Guide, available to 370,000 South Australian seniors!
