U3A CHARLES STURT POSITION RE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

U3A Charles Sturt have suspended all meetings held on Tuesdays at the Uniting Church where we meet, as the Church will be closed for the foreseeable future.  This includes Music Group which meets 1st week of the month.

Other groups who meet at the Henley Library Learning room are also suspended until further notice.  Also suspended are the walking group and coffee and chat groups.

July 2020 - We are working on a date to resume our meetings on Tuesdays at the Church and also the Thursday groups, which will of course depend on the current situation and available venue.

We will advise if and when we are able to resume.

Your Committee.

VALE -  NOELINE LAING

It is with much sadness that we advise members that our centenarian, Noeline Laing, recently passed away following a short illness.  She was able to celebrate her 103rd birthday while in hospital.

After spending some weeks in the QEH she was transferred to St Margaret’s Hospital at Semaphore, and later to Westminster Village at Grange.   There will be a private funeral for family only.

We will all miss our “star” pupil from the front row with her independent spirit and enquiring mind.

We meet on Tuesdays 1.30pm - 3.00pm during term times.  Refer to About Us, for all details.
